Our Story
Reset Care was born from a shared passion for wellness and a commitment to helping people feel their best. Our company was founded by two friends and UCLA college roommates, Albert Nguyen and David Pham, both children of Vietnamese refugees who fled their country by boat after the Vietnam War. Their dedication to health and wellness led them to become pharmacists, and together, they launched Reset Care with the goal of helping people reset, recover, and thrive in their daily lives.
Albert's DHM Research at UCLA
While studying at UCLA, Albert worked in an alcohol research lab, exploring the effects of dihydromyricetin (DHM), a natural compound known for its anti-hangover and liver health benefits. The initial tests were performed on rats before progressing to human trials. Through tireless dedication, the research provided support that DHM helps reduce hangover symptoms. Today, DHM-containing supplements are gradually becoming a popular option for reducing hangover symptoms among alcohol consumers.
Creating Reset Care's Revival Shot
Fascinated by the science behind DHM, Albert teamed up with David to develop an anti-hangover product designed to counteract the productivity loss many of us experience due to hangovers. They refined the formula by adding prickly pear, milk thistle, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, electrolytes, and minerals to high strength DHM. After testing it with family and friends, the feedback was highly encouraging—people woke up with fewer hangover symptoms, clear-headed, and ready to tackle the day.
